Descriptive adjectives

The adjectives descriptive are words that accompany the substantive provide some quality, condition or characteristic. These adjectives can be of three types: qualifying, explanatory and numerals, although numerals are usually included in determinative adjectives. They provide information on the physical characteristics of the noun, such as color, size, etc. (“Big”, “green”) or subjective evaluations (“nice”, “ugly”). As the word says, they describe what a person, animal or thing is like.

Descriptive adjectives coincide with the noun in gender and number (as in “a red apple ” or “the speedy horses”), and can be accompanied by an adverb to indicate a degree in the property or attribute that the adjective expresses (for example “An apple very red” or “horses little faster”).
