The king is the sovereign or monarch of a kingdom . This supreme office is present in a form of government known as a monarchy. The word king applies to any type of monarchy; the only monarch above a king is the emperor . Form of government of a king

The monarchy is the form of government or state ruled by a king . In this a group of people (commonly the family of a dynasty ) represents the national identity and the monarch as head plays the role of head of state. Since its inception, monarchies have been changing. At first the king had absolute power, he even considered himself a deity, but over time this was disappearing until he reached a practically symbolic role.
