Agroecology is based on a fundamental principle: to keep crops with as little environmental impact as possible and, at the same time, guarantee productivity. It is a scientific discipline that can be applied in the rural world in general and that is based on a sustainability model. To achieve these goals, two strategies are employed: the renunciation of any agrotoxic substance and the non-genetic manipulation of crops.
